The centre conducts research in the area of computational genomics, computational biology and modelling of biological systems and artificial intelligence in biology and medicine.In addition, the centre also conducts workshops, training, internship and visiting programs for students and faculty.

The Centre conducts an annual workshop on the mathematical & computational modelling of biological systems.
The Centre places a special emphasis on upskilling of trainees at all levels undergraduate, masters, phd in bioinformatics & allied areas.To this end,we organize in-person internships, and inperson & virtual workshops, so trainees can learn about the state of the art in bioinformatics and ai in biology & medicine
