Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Centre
Since inception centre is involved in R&D activities in addition to organizing regular workshop and training programmes. Centre is running Post Graduate Diploma in Bioinformatics Course. The main thrust area of research of the centre is Computer Aided Drug Designing. Centre has taken initiative for Introduction of M.Sc. Bioinformatics Course
1. Generation of skilled manpower in the area of Computational Biology 2. Extension and outreach activities

5. Academia - Industry interface development establishing collaboration with FICCI and CII
6. Initiating product output oriented project by promoting translational research
The Centre has trained manpower as interns, Ph.D. scholars and participants of workshop along-with diploma students in last two year. The centre has developed the database <strong>"DiaBank" </strong>(https://diabank.co.in/default.php). . The centre has published total 18 good quality research papers so far in last two year.
Conducted several outreach activities under the title Know the Basics of Bioinformatics for senior secondary students in different institutes of this region.
The centre has developed and modified the database DiaBank" (https://diabank.co.in/default.php). This database is the repository of the plants and their phytochemicals which have proven activity towards diabetes.
