CSIR-IICB, KOLKATA
Center for Genomics and data science, CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology
This bioinformatics center aims to integrate all the existing tools and create workflows and pipelines for analyzing genome sequence data, assemble those and create a web based platform for data analysis by the users. We would use Galaxy platform and Jbrowse to analyze and display data.
Tool Development for: Bioinformatics and big data analytics core for centers generating omics data both from plants, animals and microbial sces. Database and web server Development for: Data hosting centers that will host omics and protein-interaction data as well as novel web-analysis platforms using existing methods that are optimized for specific purposes. Conducting Bioinformatic outreach programs and workshops for graduate students, researchers both from industry and academia.
The center has created a galaxy based analysis platform for data analysis and developed pipelines for genome assembly as well as RNAseq analysis pipelines using snakemake. The center has developed AI based image analysis platform for Dementia using human samples.
The center has conducted 2 bioinformatics workshops so far. The participants were from various parts of the country. and the projects and the details are listed in BRC web page (http://brc.iicb.res.in/eumicrobedb/BRC/).
The center is working on updating EUGALPY platform for integrated genome data analysis.
This bioinformatics center aims at excelling tool development for genome and transcriptome data analysis.
