The mission is to enable HPC for cutting-edge research in computational-biology. The center envision to provide an entire spectrum of compute infractructure coupled with data analyses to accelerate life science research.<\/p>\n<p>1. National cloud based computational facility for Bioinformatics<\/p>\n<p>2. A web-based cloud GUI for accessing the proposed cloud<\/p>\n<p>3. Big Data analytics tool for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Data<\/p>\n<p>4. Deployment of freely available tools as well as inhouse developed tools for Bioinformatics<\/p>\n<p>5. Bioinformatics services 6. Skill Development, Training &amp; Outreach<\/p>\n\t<p>Hardware commissioned: 11 dual-socket nodes with 24 core Intel Gold processor and 192GB RAM per node; 25Gbps Ethernet connectivity; 200TB raw-NFS storage Infrastructure is accessible on NKN through in-house developed web-based portal. Middle-ware is Vanilla-Kubernetes cluster on top of Ubuntu-Linux. Services implemented include Authentication,User interface, Storage and VCF analysis<\/p>\n<p>The proposed hardware and software developed will ease use of Bioinformatics tools by Life Science researchers in the country by ensuring high availability with web-based portals.
