Numerous specimens,
of both sexes, were collected at Bombay, Karwar, Okha, and Umarsadi. It
lives in sandy and muddy regions.
This species is distinguished by the presence of a distinct spine at the angle of the hancl where it comes in contact with the external angle of the arm. The length of the composite segment 3-5 in the male is greater than its breadth at the base, and the length of the terminal segment is considerably more than its posterior breadth. Colotir yellow, with a multitude of violet speckles-these fade into a red tint in spirit.
