Aglaia cucullata (Roxb.)

Medium tree 10 - 15 m high
Leaves imparipinate, 30 - 40 cm long
Leaflets 2 - 4 pairs and an odd one, opposite
or subopposite, 7.5 - 15.0 cm x 4.0 - 7.0 cm, oblong-elliptic, sub-falcate,
sub-acute, glabrous on both surfaces.
Male flowers in axillary branched, peduncles
long, pedicels short
Calyx 3-lobed, lobes rounded, ciliolate;
petals 3, longer than calyx
Staminal tube scarcely shorter than the
petals, obovod; rudimentary ovary stalked, ovoid-oblong.
Economic importance : Produces fire-wood
and timbers.
