Genus : Atyponenaeus

Rostrum short and straight, with 7 to 9 dorsal teeth; post rostral carina runs almost to posterior border of carapace; hepatic spine present, epigastric tooth placed usually far back in rostrum.  
Cervical groove well developed. PETASMA with distolateral projections directed forward, narrowing from the base to tip with inner surface deeply concave and with an indentation at tip.
In THELYCUM, anterior plate - tongue like, with rounded anterior and posterior ends
