Parapenaeus longipes (Alcock, 1905)

Branchiostegal spine absent

PETASMA with distolateral lobes spout-like and as long as distomedian ones.

THELYCUM anterior plate of thelycum semicircular, articulating to intermediate plate and with a median groove which continues on intermediate plate; the latter is broad, quadrate and continuous to posterior sternal plate.

Distinctive characters : Body hairless, Rostrum reaching or exceeding distal margin of basal antennular segment, slight-Ly curved downward and armed with 6 or 7 dorsal teeth, longitudinal and transverse sutures present.

Colour : pinkish to pale whitish
