DISTINCTIVE CHARACTERS OF SPECIES

Caridina nilotica bengalensis  (De Man, 1908)

Two dorsal rostral teeth are placed on the rostrum

Distinctive characters : The rostral teeth formula, dorsal 20 to 24 and ventral 11 to 14. In all the specimens the proximal row of teeth appears considerably longer unarmed part, usually two teeth are placed on the carapace.

Colour : Slightly greenish to pale brownish
