APEX Centre
The DBT Apex Biotechnology Information Centre (BTIC) is located at International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi. The centre coordinates and helps BTISNet nodes by providing training in latest techniques in bioinformatics, mentors and maintains their databases, web- servers and software/tools developed with the Department of Biotechnology (DBT, GOI) fundings. The centre aims to serve as a vital resource for the researchers working in life sciences and computational biology.
The Workshop
The "One Day Workshop on Basic and Advance Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Data Analysis” is intended to train coordinators, bioinformatics centre staff, post- doctoral fellows and students in Bioinformatics (preferably linked to DBT BTISNet centres) in the area of NGS data analysis. The workshop will include lectures and illustrative sessions on NGS data pre-processing, Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) data assembly and annotation, RNA-Seq data analysis etc.
